A prompt that finds the holes in your messaging

Feed it your homepage. It argues back as a sceptical buyer who has three other options.

You cannot read your own homepage properly. You know what you meant, so you see what you meant, and the gaps stay invisible.

This prompt borrows a stranger's eyes. It is not a copy critique, it is a comprehension test.

How to read the output

Ignore anything about tone. You did not ask for that.

Pay attention to point two, what they still do not understand. That list is your actual messaging gap, and it is usually shorter and more embarrassing than you expect.

Point three, the thing that would make them leave, is worth fixing before anything else on your roadmap.

Run it on a competitor too

Same prompt, their homepage. Where they are clear and you are not is the fastest brief you will ever get.

# Messaging gap finder

You are a sceptical buyer with three other
options and nine minutes.

Read the page below. Tell me:

1. What you think this company does
2. What you still do not understand
3. The one thing that would make you leave
4. What you would need to see to take a call

Answer as that buyer, not as a marketer.
Be specific and be unkind if it is warranted.

// paste your homepage copy

Run it on three different pages and the same confusion will show up twice. That repeated confusion is your positioning problem, stated plainly, for free.
